For the Beautifully W(e)ired
For the beautifully w(e)ired: late-diagnosed neurodivergent women and ND mothers raising neurodivergent children. Making sense of a journey that never fit the script and learning how to navigate it together.
This is the space where we peel away the layers of truth about what it means to be a late-diagnosed neurodivergent woman breaking generational cycles in real time.
My background is unorthodox - spanning molecular biology, cybersecurity, finance, and systems analysis - but the real depth comes from living in a neurodivergent body while trying to raise a neurodivergent child without passing down the patterns that nearly broke me.
I'm Violeta. I discovered (or rather, confirmed) my own neurodivergence while seeking answers for my daughter - a recognition that not only changed how I understood the complexity of who I am, but shattered and rebuilt my entire sense of self. Twice. First from maiden to mother, then from "neurotypical" to neurodivergent.
Both deaths. Both rebirths.
I write about the things we're not supposed to say out loud. The rage that comes with late diagnosis. The complexity of healing your own childhood wounds while actively parenting. The weight of being the one who gets to break the cycle. The intersection of inherited trauma, epigenetics, and the daily reality of neurodivergent motherhood.
This isn't inspiration porn or gentle trauma reinforcement. It's the raw, unfiltered examination of what it takes to rewrite ancestral patterns while your nervous system is still trying to run the old programming.
I explore the science, yes - but through the lens of lived experience. The biology matters, but so does the brutal emotional work of becoming who you actually are instead of who you learned to be for survival.
If you're looking for someone to whisper a generic “everything will be fine”, this isn't your space. If you're ready to examine the uncomfortable truths about neurodivergence, late diagnosis, and generational healing - welcome home. 💜
